~ Can you please share with us a little about
yourself?
I write funny, romantic mysteries. I live in
San Diego with my two sons, but right now I’m traveling through Europe
with my boys for the ENTIRE summer (The decision to do this was
done in a moment of insanity, obviously).
2 ~ Please tell us a
little about your newest release ?
MATCHPOINT is the second book in my Matchmaker
series. In it, Gladie Burger is still a matchmaker in training, but as she tries
to match someone, she becomes a murder suspect in the death of the local
dentist. Meanwhile, she has two hottie love interests, but
it’s hard to get time for love, when you’re running from a maniacal
killer.
3~ Would
you like to share an excerpt with us today?
4~ What's in store
next for your readers?
The third book in the series comes out in February. Right
now, I’m writing a young adult series, which will make people cry (in a good
way).
5~ What's the weirdest
thing you've ever done in the name of research?
Ask weightlifters what they mean when they say, “beat the
cheeks.”
6~ What are some of
your favorite kinds of stories to read?
I love to read EVERYTHING.
7~ What is something
people would be surprised to know about you?
8~ Do
you sing and dance around the house while picking up?
Yes! How did you know? Are you spying on
me?
9~ Describe yourself
in three words?
Curly. Hungry. Happy.
10~ What is the most embarrassing thing you got caught
doing?
The list is so long. The main character of the Matchmaker
series, Gladie, is similar to me. We can do embarrassing all day long, and we
usually do.
11~ How did you
celebrate the sale of your first book?
I screamed a LOT. And then I bought a coffee
maker.
12~ What are the
scenes that are the hardest for you to write?
Sex scenes. It’s hard to convey the emotion without sounding
cheesy.
13~ Is there anything
special you would like to say to your readers while we have you here
today?
Yes! Thank you so much for reading MATCHPOINT. I hope you

Elise Sax worked as a
journalist for fifteen years, mostly in Paris, France. She took a detour from
journalism and became a private investigator before trying her hand at writing
fiction. She lives in Southern California with her two sons. An Affair to Dismember is her first novel.
